Sleepless Nights

As most of you know, Peter can sleep through just about anything. After I came home from the hospital, Hudson starting having nightmares, screaming for what felt like hours until we gave in and brought him into our bed. Peter and I have not had much sleep for months...it was getting so bad that we did not even notice Hudson waking up and somehow ending up in our bed. Peter thought that Hudson just crawled in between us from the bottom of the bed. I joke that Hudson probably crawled over the top of Peter, but Peter felt that he would surely know if that was the case. Then one night about a week later I woke up from Hudson crying and I heard his little feet pounding on the floor heading to our room. I decided not to make any noise and see how he was getting into our bed. He ran right over to Peter's side and began to crawl up and over the top of Peter. He struggled for a little while and then found it easier if he used Peter's head as leverage. Hudson then seemed to be stuck on top of Peter's head. I couldn't help myself and started to laugh. I eventually helped Hudson off of Peter's head and into our bed. Hudson nearly smothered Peter and yet Peter never even budged.
