It's August, time for Grandpa Mike's annual visit. Grandpa drives from Wisconsin to Leavenworth to spend one night atMichelle and Jon's 240 to 260 square foot house. Grandpa Mike always comments on how small their house is and that they should really add on...perhaps a bathroom? Well, next year he will be in for a surprise...I have been told they have added on a 12 by 12 foot addition...will it be a bathroom?
Next stop, Seattle. Michelle always drives my father into the city and stays for his visit. The city is a bit much for my father...but I think it has grown on him over the years. Although, I think he enjoys Kari's backyard the most. Every night, Jeff builds a fire in the pit and we all hang out roasting marsh mellows, playing games, and laughing. The photos below are taken in Kari's back yard.

When my dad visits, we drag him all over the city. This day started off in downtown Seattle and ended up in a local park for some good old fashion' swinging.

Today, we decided to go to Shilshole Bay. My father wanted to use his metal detector. The boys were excited about it but lost interested as soon as we hit the sand.

Today, we celebrated Grandpa Mike's birthday. I believe Kari and Jeff's kids were more excited about the celebration than their grandpa....CAKE...must be Kari's kids.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA.
